Air conditioning

Transit Connect is available with CFC free air conditioning. This has a recirculation control to ensure you create the most comfortable environment for work, and to keep you cool on long journeys (optional extra).

'Quickclear' heated windscreen

Using almost imperceptible heating elements, this option can rapidly clear your windscreen of condensation inside and snow or ice outside, at the touch of a button. Which means no more messing around with a plastic scraper.

Interior stowage

There are a host of clever stowage places throughout the cab to safely store all those home comforts you take on the road. An underseat storage tray and lockable glovebox are ideal places to keep items safely out of sight. A full-width, overhead parcel shelf – standard on the long wheelbase (LWB) and optional on short wheelbase (SWB) – means documents and maps are easily accessible, while door bins and cupholders should keep the rest of the cab free from clutter.

Adjustable driving seat

You can spend a long time at the wheel, so it’s good to know you’ll be sitting comfortably. Transit Connect comes with a choice of driver’s seats that can have arm rests, a lumbar support and can even be fully adjustable. The steering column also adjusts for both rake and reach, to ensure you quickly find your optimum driving position.

Fold-flat passenger seat

A clever, fold-flat front passenger seat means that longer and more awkward loads can be carried inside. This means they’re protected from the elements – and from potential theft. In the long wheelbase (LWB) version that means you can accommodate ladders, timber joists and even 3-metre lengths of piping.

Bluetooth®* with Voice Control

Optional Bluetooth®* with Voice Control technology allows you to make and receive calls safely while on the road. So wherever you are, you can safely keep in touch with the office or your customers without having to pull over to the side of the road.

Load box

Transit Connect has been designed to maximise your payload by having a long, wide load box with flat sides. Whether you are carrying goods, work materials or tools, it provides a large, flexible load area. The wide-opening rear doors allow easier accessibility and the width between the rear wheel arches means there’s room for two Europallets, while a loadspace floor mat helps protect the interior from damage. Built-in tie-down eyes have also been incorporated so you can keep items safely anchored when you are on the move. There’s even the option of a clever roof flap on the short wheelbase (SWB) that opens to allow longer items to be carried safely.
