A range of engines

Transit Connect is powered by a range of refined and dependable diesel engines. These all deliver impressive acceleration and fuel-efficiency, while ensuring strong load and high towing capacity. A high number of key engineering changes also mean a quieter, more comfortable ride for both driver and passengers. The range comprises:

1.8-litre Duratorq TDCi common rail turbo diesel 75 PS/175 Nm
1.8-litre Duratorq TDCi common rail turbo diesel 90 PS/220 Nm
1.8-litre Duratorq TDCi common rail turbo diesel 110 PS/280 Nm

Handling

Anti-lock braking system (ABS)

ABS ensures the wheels won’t lock when you brake. This helps prevent skidding and loss of directional control if you have to brake when cornering, or if you need to make an emergency stop.

Traction Assist (TA)

TA works with your engine and transmission to help prevent rear wheel spin and, under more extreme conditions, reduces it significantly (optional extra).
